ABSTRACT
The article explores the politics and government in 1965 in Israel. It states that David Ben-Gurion appointed Levi Eshkol as heir to Israel and the Mapai Party but proclaimed him as unfit to govern. He challenged Eshkol at the elections and he came out as the winner. It notes the victory of Mapai Party which got 43 seat at the Knesset. Furthermore, Eshkol fired his campaign managers because he was dissatisfied with the election results.
