ABSTRACT
The article presents a study which examines the adaption of concepts from the oil and gas (O&G) industry for the construction of offshore wind turbine foundations. Methods and materials used for the wind turbine design includes in-situ testing or laboratory testing and soil sampling. It also states the requirements for ocean-energy technologies such as ports and facilities for vessels and qualified experts in geotechnical engineering and marine geology and geophysics.
