The article discusses the increase in sales for smartphones despite the economic recession in the U.S. It notes that people still buy an iPad for 500 dollars even in the midst of the economic slump and a forecast states that the sale for smartphones will grow to 55.4 percent in 2010. It mentions the increase in shipments of BlackBerry smartphones from Research In Motion Ltd. (RIM). It adds that the wireless industry continues to move at a healthy pace.
