ABSTRACT
The article presents a letter from Gene Aloise, Director, Natural Resources and Environment at the U.S. Government Accountability Office on the U.S.-Russia nuclear cooperation agreement. It examines on the necessary actions of the state and other agencies in improving the review of the classified nuclear proliferation assessment. In this report, GAO identifies the weaknesses in the process that State used to ensure interagency consultation and recommends the State to clarify the review process.
