ABSTRACT
The article reveals the letters of Daniel Patrick Moynihan to former U.S. President Richard Nixon as a consummate diplomat. He asked Nixon to not pursue the war against Vietnam and told him how the president can build a center in American politics. In one of Monayhan's letters, he explained the Negro problem in the U.S. He also talked about the behavior of the youth in the country. Another issue he raised in one of his letters is the general absence of women from higher education in the U.S.
