ABSTRACT
The article discusses the federal tax conformity bill in California. It mentions that the legislative body in the state has enacted an omnibus federal tax conformity bill in Senate Bill 401 which is the first federal tax conformity bill enacted since 2005. It notes that the specified date for the state's reference to the federal Internal Revenue Code (IRC) is on January 1, 2009 which is the result of the legislation.
