ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the publication of a new standard for the design of high-performance and green buildings by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) in the U.S. It states that ASHRAE Standard 189.1 provides users guidance on a wide range of aspects concerning high-performance green buildings. The new standard also deals with water use efficiency, energy efficiency, and site sustainability.
