ABSTRACT
The article features the background and history surrounding the culture of rose gardening in Barcelona, Spain. It highlights landmarks such as the Roserar de Cervantes (Cervantes Rose Garden) in the Parc de Cervantes, the Jardines de la Ciudadela (Gardens of the Citadel), and the Palau de la Musica (Music Palace). It explains why the Roserar de Cervantes is well-known not only for its hosting of the International Rose Trials but also for the sustainable rose gardening methods and varieties that are to be found in it.
