Heating/Piping/Air Conditioning Engineering;Sep2010, Vol. 82 Issue 9, p30
The article focuses on the gas-fired absorption heat pumps' use in commercial heating applications and its use of renewable energy to attain thermal efficiency levels of up to 145 percent. It discusses the stages of temperature and pressure change in the absorption thermodynamic cycle. It presents discussions on the hybrid systems in geothermal application, as well as the energy savings in commercial heating applications. It further concludes that absorption heat pumps increase flexibility.
