ABSTRACT
The article provides information about the problems faced by Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Nevada, and how it plans to bounce back. It is the area's largest hospital by most any ranking, but has recorded up to 110.2 million U.S. dollars in losses since 2005, including an all-time worst operating profit of 46.8 million U.S. dollars in 2009. Among its initiatives to offset these losses are the renovation of the emergency room, a new medical helicopter service, and hiring a consultant to streamline work flow and patient processing.
