ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs related to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA's Suicide National Prevention Lifeline, a crisis center that responds to suicidal veterans had recorded its 10,000th rescue on July 4, 2010. Vietnam veterans with disability claims for diseases associated with exposure to defoliants used in war will be compensated starting in October 2010. VA's Recovery Act has committed one billion dollars to improve its medical-care facilities across the U.S.
