ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the status of family caregivers in the U.S., and several developments on meeting their needs. It cites the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which can make the lives of caregiving families easier, safer and healthier. It also mentions the celebration of the National Family Caregivers Month, and the recommendation of the Middle Class Task Force for an additional 1.3 million dollars for programs that support caregivers and promote home- and community-based services.
