ABSTRACT
We demonstrate a 206 W 1064 nm beam generation at a beam quality of M²=1.34 with a Nd:YAG laser amplifier system. We also report on an efficient 150 W TEM[sub 00] mode diode-pumped Nd:YAG rod laser. © 2001 American Institute of Physics.

We describe the performance of a mode-locked and Q-switched Nd:YAG laser operating at 1.064 μm, optically pumped by a 500 mW diode laser. The cw mode-locked system provides bandwidth-limited pulses of 55 ps duration, with a corresponding peak power of 3.3 W. When Q-switched the energy within...

Abstract. We apply the technique of nonlinear mirror (NLM) mode-locking to a pulsed diode-pumped, actively mode-locked Nd:YAG laser. Either effective pulse compression or pulse amplitude control regimes are achieved, depending on the NLM configuration. Operating the NLM as a fast saturable...

We have developed a mode-locked, diode pumped, neodymium-doped yttrium lithium fluoride (Nd:YLF) laser operating at 1.053 μm. The laser produces pulses of 18 ps duration at an average power level of 12 mW. When Q switched the duration of the pulse train was 140 ns, giving rise to peak powers...

A large single crystal (18×40×15 mm3) of a new nonlinear optical material ‘‘chalcone derivative’’ has been grown by an evaporation method. This crystal was relatively easy to grow to a large size and was chemically stable. The cutoff wavelength was 430 nm. The...

We have developed a powerful and efficient mode-locked and Q-switched diode laser pumped Nd:YAG laser. We report on high-efficiency frequency doubling of a mode-locked diode-laser-pumped Nd:YAG laser to 532 nm in a crystal of MgO:LiNbO3 in an external enhancement ring cavity. At a pump power of 500 mW the mode-locked Nd:YAG laser produced an average power of 66 mW incident on the enhancement...

Diode lasers with peak powers in the kW range and pulse durations of micro- to milli-seconds have been available since several years.
