ABSTRACT
In the article, individuals from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) discuss the results of a study that found no differences in patient outcomes when anesthesia was provided by a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), an anesthesiologist, or a CRNA supervised by a physician.
