ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the political challenges encountered by Israel Prime Minister Menachem Begin. It states that the challenges occurred after Begin failed in his foreign relationship talk with U.S. President Jimmy Carter, and when Israel had invaded the southern part of Lebanon. It mentions several political challenges being faced by Begin which include the resume of the peace negotiation talks with Egypt, the dealing with the national threats of war from the Palestinian guerillas, and the improvement of foreign relations between Israel and the U.S. It adds that in connection with the challenges, rumors have been coming out which present that Jerusalem is working for the fall of the political leadership of Begin.
