ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the proposal for Betty Ford, wife of Gerard Ford, to run as vice president in the U.S. It states that Ford, who is one of Gerald Ford's greatest political asset, could help him in attracting a larger share of women's vote. It notes that Ronald Reagan did not try unifying the party with Betty Ford and if Jimmy Carter had selected Betty Ford, they might have won the White House by acclamation which save taxpayers the expense of a campaign and election.
