ABSTRACT
The article reports that swimmer Diana Nyad has broken the 48-year-old record for circling the Manhattan Island in New York. She has broken the old record by 59 minutes by finishing the 28-mile swim in seven hours and 57 minutes. After surviving the New York water, Nyad needs to cope with the media that has become infatuated with her. She already received a lot of offers of television guestings and product endorsements.
