ABSTRACT
The article focuses on former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay who underwent a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation that probed his links to lobbyist Jack Abramoff who was imprisoned for three and a half years on federal charges. While he questions the length of the DOJ probe to conclude his innocence, he commended the department for making their determination. The probe took 15 years costing Delay eight million U.S. dollars in legal fees. One of his staffers criticized the probe which he found unfair smearing DeLay's name.
