ABSTRACT

The article focuses on bullying as a global social health problem, its widespread presence among school students in Canada, and anti-bullying programs in the country. It offers information on anti-bullying programs including the Pink Shirt Day and Roots of Empathy (ROE), and discusses cyberbullying as the emerging form of bullying in Canada. It focuses on studies done to know the purpose of bullying and reasons leading to such behavior, and suggests ways to help children deal with bullying. INSET: DEALING WITH A BULLY.
