The article profiles the scholarly career of Angela Constantinides Hero, a teacher at Queens College. The books "Byzantine Monastic Foundation Documents: A Complete Translation of the Surviving Founders' Typika and Testaments" and "The Life and Letters of Theoleptos of Philadelphia," as well as the monograph "The Letters of Gregory Akindynos," are discussed. Quotations from several colleagues at Queens College are presented including Stuart Prall, Emeritus Professor of History, Jon Peterson, former Chair of the Department of History, and Frank Warren, Professor of History. Hero's skills as a teacher and scholar of the Byzantine empire are explored.
