ABSTRACT
The article presents a lesson plan aimed at teaching color words as a means of identifying the scientific characteristics of organisms by introducing the work of Eric Carle, a picture book illustrator of creatures in children's storybooks, and by asking them to make their own illustrations based on how Carle does his creations.
