ABSTRACT
The article reports that Massachusetts-based Black Duck Software will support the open-source compliance project launched by the nonprofit Linux Foundation. Black Duck will participate in the foundation's FOSSBazaar Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) working group by developing standards for exchanging software license information. The project is supported by more than 20 firms and organizations that support the SPDX standard and format.
