ABSTRACT
The article discusses the aspects to consider in evaluating the credibility of a third-party certification. The program's stringency, accreditations and procedural transparency should be assessed. The stringency of the certification program is determined by the standards and test methods used by the third-party certifier. It can also be determined through product monitoring and retesting.
