GGP Gets SEC Probe, Blackstone Investment

The article reports on an insider trading investigation being conducted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on shopping mall owner General Growth Partners. The mall owner has also noted that the Blackstone Group is giving it equity investment. The investigation deals with alleged insider trading practices by former and current company executives during the time when prices of company stock posted a significant decline in late 2008. It adds that nearly 120 million dollars in stock have been sold during the period.
