Examines the frescoes made by Altichiero at Saint Felice Chapel in San Antonio, Padua, Italy. Representation of the poet Petrarch in the freso 'Council of Ramiro; Heraldic representation of Louis, King of Hungary, in the 'Council' and the 'Battle of Clavigo'; Sources of the Ramiro events portrayed in the eastern wall of the chapel; Use of the life of Saint James as a framework for the frescoes.
