Argues that the image of the Portail Ste.-Anne of Notre Dame in Paris, France, in which a bishop and a king venerate the Virgin and Child enthroned, reflects a change in program in celebration of the birth of Philip Augustus. Design and iconography of the Portail Ste.-Anne; Details of the portal sculpture which depicted Christ nativity and the Incarnation scene; History of the 13th century art.
