ABSTRACT
The article reports that Styron LLC was purchased by Bain Capital Partners LLC, and was turned as a standalone company under Bain's umbrella. The Styron Division of Dow Chemical Co. was purchased for 1.63 billion dollars and after the deal closed on June 17, 2010, Dow retained a 7.5-percent equity position in the business. Christopher D. Pappas, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Styron, announced the executive leadership team on July 6, 2010.
