The article discusses military procurement by the Malaysian government during the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2010 exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It states that 3.25 billion U.S. dollars worth of contracts were signed by the Malaysian government for its Army, Navy and Air Force modernization programmes. These include a potential 2.56 billion U.S. dollars for 257 units of the AV-8 vehicles from Deftech and 500 million U.S. dollars for 12 EC725 Cougars from Eurocopter. The air force is looking to acquire 18 new fighters such as Russia's MiG-35.
