Dryer Venting System Solves Lint Problem in Dorm, Reduces College's Heating Bills

The article reports on the significance of a dryer venting system from Tjernlund Products Inc. which solved the lint problem at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. According to Tom Laureyns, president of Four Seasons Heating & Cooling Inc., the exhaust ductwork was not sealed and the inline exhaust fan was located in the ceiling which were the major factors causing the lint problem. It states that the annual electric-heat savings from the system is expected to reach 25,000 dollars.
