ABSTRACT
The article presents a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) concerning Medicaid managed care. It mentions that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has been inconsistent in evaluating the rate of each U.S. State for compliance with the Medicaid managed care. It notes that every state is required to submit rate-setting methodology which can be used by Department of Health and Human Servives (HHS) and CMS. GAO suggests to let CMS regulate state compliance.
