ABSTRACT
The article discusses the economic forecasts and views of the Business Monitor International Ltd. (BMI) on the economy of Slovakia. It states that BMI stresses that the government of Slovakia should bring its budget below 3.0% by 2013. It mentions that BMI forecasts that the deficit of the government for 2010 will increase to 7.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP) which is above its target of 7.0%. It adds that it forecasts an expansion of 2.7% for the real GDP in 2010 to 4.0% in 2014.
