ABSTRACT
The article presents the forecast of IHS Global Insight Inc. for the economic growth in Pakistan. Growth is projected to increase through the improvement in domestic demand and manufacturing domestic performance. Real gross domestic product is expected to grow by around 3% in FY 2010 and moderation in international oil prices is set to further benefit industrial production. However, generation of sufficient employment is not seen to reflect in the projected economic growth.
