The article reports on the acquisition of the Wall Street Institute (WSI), a provider of English language training for adults, by Pearson plc from the Carlyle Group and Citigroup Private Equity for 92 million U.S. dollars in cash in 2010. Other investments of Pearson are Medley Global Advisors, Castanea Partners and Boston Ventures. It mentions that Pearson bought Wall Street English, the Chinese subsidiary of WSI, for approximately 145 million U.S. dollars.
