ABSTRACT
The article features Hardie Gramatky and the use of watercolor in his paintings. Gramatky says that watercolor was a more sensitive medium than oil. Its constant use is a means of expressing ideas directly. He states that with watercolor, being a direct medium, one makes a direct statement with its use.
