ABSTRACT
The article reports on the test run of the first of 39 Citadis-Dualis tram-train cars ordered by France's SNCF for the Nantes and Lyon routes. The Citadis-Dualis is a suburban trainset that has a buffing load of 600 kN and meets the EN 15227 crashworthiness requirements. Alstom has created a team at its Petit-Fôret works in Valenciennes to supervise the development, production and testing of the tram-trains. A top priority for Alstom is to get approval from EPSF for general use on RFF lines.
