ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of private equity firm Castle Harlan to exit its investment in lawn and garden toolmaker Ames True Temper. Castle Harlan intends to sell the company to Griffon Corp. for 542 million U.S. dollars. According to Justin Wender, president of Castle Harlan, the delay in the exit of the firm is due to the issues caused by consumer pullback following the credit crisis and the company's exposure to construction.
