OMB's Dashboard Has Increased Transparency and Oversight, but Improvements Needed

The article focuses on the study by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the deployment of the Information Technology (IT) Dashboard, a Web site that provides details on federal agencies' investments, by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the U.S. GAO examines the Web site's accuracy of the cost and schedule performance ratings and finds an inaccuracy and discrepancy in the selected investments. GAO recommends that OMB has to report its planned changes to improve accuracy.
