ABSTRACT
The article provides information on Computer Enhanced Visual Learning (CEVL), a novel method for teaching and learning medical procedures using Internet-based multimedia training. It discusses the advantages of CEVL over traditional methods of surgical training and residency programs like reduced duty hours and autonomy for residents due to increased emphasis on patient safety. It also differentiates CEVL from other e-Learing platforms and describes its potential as a paradigm to teach and document surgical skills in other medical specialties.
