ABSTRACT
The article presents a study which analyzed the clinical effectiveness of Genotropin to treat children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD) for a National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) Technology Appraisal. It notes that the most effective outcome measure of GH and Genotropin therapy is final adult height, as determined by NICE. Factors such as final adult height, height velocity, body composition, quality of life (QoL) and cognitive functioning in children with short stature are examined.
