ABSTRACT
The article explores observations on chewing or biting louse Bovicola (Damalinia) breviceps from a llamas herd in Devon. Lice were found on three culled llamas that were part of a tuberculosis control program. Adult female lice were subject to light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The morphological features were similar with that of B. breviceps. According to the authors, this is the first confirmed B. breviceps identification on llamas in Great Britain.
