ABSTRACT
The article presents an outlook on the banking sector's condition in Lithuania in August 2010. It predicts that the country's banking sector is set of entering a prolonged of weak profitability and low growth. It states that the bleak outlook supports the view that the country will not be able to avoid two recessions, having a weak lending development amidst an extended period of private sector deleveraging against rebound in private consumption.
