ABSTRACT
The article presents a report from Government Accountability Office (GAO) in the U.S. on army working capital funds (AWCF). It mentions that in 2009, AWCF collected more than 16 billion dollars for goods and services provided to customers wherein the cash generated from the sales were used to cover its expenses. It reveals that AWCF monthly cash balance fluctuated due to differences between receipts and disbursements which include receipt from AWCF operations and appropriations for wars.
