ABSTRACT
The article reports on a U.S. private-public alliance between Sandia National Laboratories and rocket engine producer Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne that aims to commercialize solar reformer technologies. Under solar reformer technology, carbon dioxide from power plants and other industrial facilities is converted into diesel fuel. It adds that the alliance intends to build on a project of the research group Renewable Energy Institute International (REII). The alliance is also comprised of members such as Pacific Renewable Fuels and Quanta Services.
