It states that budget hotels were emerging as an alternative to luxury accommodation, with average occupancy rates ranging from 70% to 90% depending on location and generating a considerably higher return of commercial rent. Despite of the effects of global economic crisis, investors were continuing to construct hotels in Rio Grande do Norte.
