Industry Profile
The article presents an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of the tourism industry in Brazil in 2010. The government will catalyze substantial investment for tourism infrastructure in preparation of the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016. It states that the modernization and competitiveness of the country's economy remained stable and secured because of the strategic plans of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
