The article discusses the availability of credit to small businesses in the U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has urged banks to do all they prudently can to make loans to small firms. Loans to small companies fell by more than $40 billion between the second quarter of 2008 and first quarter of 2010.
