ABSTRACT
The article discusses the potential impact of the announced 2010 emergency budget of the British coalition government on the utilities sector, particularly the nuclear power industry. The decision of the government to cancel the federal loan to Sheffield Forgemasters engineering firm produced investment concerns in the sector. Remarks from British energy minister Charles Hendry regarding investments in the nuclear sector are also provided.
