ABSTRACT
The article presents the results of a study which revealed leadership practices grouped in six zones to help leaders address the symptoms and causes of economic ennui. Assessing motives, beliefs, attitudes and actions are cited as the goal of reflection. Leaders are reminded to act ethically to serve the larger good. They are encouraged to respect and leverage basic differences and help create a climate of innovation. Connecting with others is discussed as way to earn commitment, inspire effort and improve communication.
