ABSTRACT
The strong relationship among executive group compensation and company employment, and sales and assets indicated that growth and size, not profitability, were the primary determinants of corporate financial reward. However, this conclusion must be sharply tempered by the occurrence of strong collinearity--collinearity that permanently obscures the identification of the hypothesized relationship.
