ABSTRACT
The article discusses the taxonomy of the Veratrum, a genus of hardy herbaceous perennials that belongs to Melanthiaceae family. It presents several cultivated plant varieties of veratrum along with their first introduction in the market including the Veratrum nigrum, Veratrum album, and veratrum californicum.
